Drawing to a Close

Dana Stewart Scott

As summer draws to a close and schools start back in session what are your kids going to get out of this year? School, beyond the “book” learning, provides important social interactions that allows your kids to scrimmage in the “real world” and then come back to you to look at the play tapes.

With this, you have the opportunity to point out that all the little lessons we learned growing up. All the lessons that even as adults we still use such as; take responsibility for your actions, putting it off does NOT make it go away, and wish as you might Cs do not turn into As with wishing.

Lessons from school allow children to explore the world and create what they will of it.

What lessons do you want your kids to take away this year? Share in the comments below!
